The EXIF show the date and time the photo was taken and guessing that the view is looking west out across the ocean from somewhere on the eastern seaboard of the US and using Stellarium (planetarium software) to visualise the night sky at that time, date and location, it could be the star called Vega. It can't be Mars as at that time & date Mars was below the horizon.
But, in this case, Vega should have been also captured with its trails, just as the other stars. Vega is 25 light years away from us and should have a similar pattern of the other stars within the image. One possibility for not having a star trail at such a long exposure (30s) would be if the camera was pointed to the pole, so that there would be an "epicentre", with star trails getting longer the more they are far from the centre. But in this case, the camera was pointed aproximately west to east (east coast of the US pointed to the atlantic) instead of to the poles (unles this shore part is somehow pointed to the pole).
A plane light would also left a horizontal trail in a 30s exposure.

Yes, I realise that but I can't think what else it could be. Unless it's aliens

Nah, whatever that spot is, it's definitely not a wardrobe.
