Blue and green with a hint of red

More work using my crystal spheres. The blue and green colours are produced by two studio flash that have been gelled. I use barn doors on them to contain the light spill.

I wanted to see if I could add just a hint of another hue (red in this case) by using a speedlight, gelling it and then using cinefoil to flag the light to minimize light spill. If you look closely, there is a little bit on either side of the large sphere. Optical triggering works quite well in this case, as the triggers for the Paul C Buff studio lights and the Godox speedlight are incompatible.

The heavy smoke (I have the smoke machine sitting just below the camera lens) knocks down the contrast and light quite well.

I expect to get some more images out of this technique...

I like this one Manfred - the red makes it, but not sure if the smoke is a + or a -

I like the light too but it's the arrangement of the spheres that makes it for me.

I like the way the red hue is scattered across the image.

I like it. I find it pleasing to look at. My first inclination is to take a bit off the right, but not so much where the subject is centered.

    Thanks for the comments.

I've been trying a few new ideas, but nothing has quite come together yet...

The concept looks like it is worth pursuing...
