    What is the subject here? The hat, the tree or the model?

    The hat and the tree overpower the model and that is not ideal.

    Agree with Geoff - perhaps crop off at least a quarter at the left?

    I don't mind the cropping. However the brightest area of the photo are the hand, shoulder and arm. Perhaps you should tone down all the area below the finger, including the finger and lighten the face and eye slightly. Simplify by emphasising the face and hat, leaving the rest as supporting background.

    I've also tried the crop suggestion, but for me the subject is a girl (with a wild headdress) hiding behind a tree. I still prefer the square crop.
