We generally make sport of the educational quality of California schools. However, I was quite impressed when a fourth grade student, who is studying photography in her elementary school class, gave an in depth explanation of the "Rule of Thirds!"

ISTM that bashing educational quality is generally wildly overdone. Personally, I have never taken a class in anything where the instructor was dumber than me in the given subject. As always, YMMV
