A Spider's Life

I noticed this spider on a big web between two trees. Over the next two weeks, I watched it grow, almost doubling in size. It looks like he lost a leg. Maybe by something it snared that fought back. I adjusted the background to make the spider stand out. Comments welcomed

A good shot. I would suggest you don't get too close to it if it keeps on growing to an enormous size.

My preference would be for the background to be a little less saturated. The strong colours detract a little from the spider.

I came by one day, and the web and spider were gone. I greeted and viewed this spider on multiple occasions, so it was a bit of a disappointment. Weird how you can get attached. I guess the web can catch more than a fly.
Regarding the background, I have some versions, as you suggested, less saturated. Because of my vision, I tend to boost contrast so I can see it better. But in general, It probably could use less saturation. Will take another look. Thank you for that, Paul.
