In this captivating image, orange and red tones dance in round shapes, while the smoke adds an intriguing swirl.
The beauty is palpable, sparking curiosity.
Print, size and support are crucial.
What enchanting dimensions and which material will showcase this artwork?
These are being printed to roughly A2 size. I am using matless black metal frames and mounting these without a mat using standard 16" x 20" (41 cm x 51cm). These tests are done on Epson Ultra Premium Luster paper, which is a luster resin coated RC) medium.
Exhibition quality prints will be on Hahnemühle Photo Rag Baryta, and I may go to a slightly larger 17" x 22" (43 cm x 56 cm), depending on the number of prints and space I am assigned for the exhibition. This will be the curator's call; we are discussing a number of different options and if I go with a small number (2 or 3 prints), I will go to a larger print size and will go to a commercial fine art printer to have the prints made as I am already close to the size limit on my Epson P800.
If time permits, I might do another 2 or 3 images with the blue / green lighting.
It was just as I expected: spacious dimensions, exquisite support and paper.
I once (in a life time) had the opportunity to exhibit in Los Angeles, but the dimensions were noticeably smaller.
Truth be told, the image quality was also lacking.
I stuck to A3+ at that time, but indeed, larger prints, especially in generous spaces, have a remarkable impact and undoubtedly enhance the presentation and quality of the artistic product.
I wish you the deserved success !
Looks superb Manfred.
Just great.
