Camelia
Our club has once again been asked to provide a photo expo as part of the "Floralies" weekend in a local village - an event that attracts many thousands of visitors each year. We've done this every year for around 10 yrs and the organisers pay well, but after a while it becomes a bit samey, photos of flowers....
So, I thought perhaps a different approach. Something in the spirit of botanical illustrations ?
Elements arranged on a light box, lit also from above by two gridded softboxes above and to each side. Old paper background added later in PS.

Re: Camelia
I like the arrangement. It does have a clinical look which suits your purpose well. I would have tried to reduce the glare on the shiny leaves. One minor point; the first e in "petale" takes an acute accent.

Re: Camelia
Looks good to me although I wonder what it would look like with an artistic effect, such as a watercolour, to give a true Victorian book appearance?
Or should I have said Napoleonic?
