Has some resonance for me: my father-in-law worked in the NYC garment factories for years, often doing double shifts.
The mention of your father-in-law's work in the garment district sparked a forgotten memory within me. Back in the late '60s, I found myself in the midst of that bustling industry, navigating the sidewalks with clothing racks in tow. Occasionally, I'd trade the racks for a hand truck loaded with boxes, but it was all in a day's work as a temporary laborer. It's funny how a simple mention can resurrect such vivid recollections. I do like the heavy handed way you did this photo. I guess the bronze figure made the choice easy.

I like the direction that you took for this picture but I find the floating table and the worker squatting in mid air distracting. Have you considered pulling the table legs and the seat out of the background?
