About to go vertical

Taken back at Avalon airshow in 2017 with Canon 300d with kit 55-200 @ 200m.
Aperture priority @ F8 @ 1/500 ISO 100..The focus point is on outer left wing and he was doing about 400+knots about 50 ft altitude and went vertical immediately afterwards.
Wide shot is original SOOC jpeg file.
I have played around with Aftershot and cropped and sharpened the second file but would appreciate comments and suggestions for any improvements.

In the first image I'd get rid of the head lower left corner. Perhaps do some dodging and burning on the plane to add some texture.

Another nice photo.
When you have a subject that is moving, it is usually better to leave more room in the frame in front of the subject than behind it to sort of give it room to move into. This tends to reduce tension and create a more balanced picture.
I agree with Ole that you should crop out the protruding finger at the bottom of the frame and lighten up the shadows.
