There's always one in every crowd...

I realized today that I had not actually photographed anything since January 31 of this year. I've spent the past 2+ months working on images every day, but pretty well 100% in post and other design work.

I decided to have a bit of fun today and to do something that I had thought about a few weeks ago. It's quite similar to an image I did with Japanese chopsticks a few years ago. This time I used ordinary wood pencils.

This made me smile. Love the humour in this one.

Great image Manfred, graphic and amusing.

Spot of alignment needed top left...?

Top left is out about 1mm, top right about 3mm. I'm not 100% satisfied with the look, so I may look at reshooting with some other changes. The erasers can be out quite a bit and they add to the issue.

I drew very thin grids on the backing and used Museum Wax to hold the pencils in place, so the alignment is acceptable, but not perfect. I find that the spacing between pencils needs to be tighter and I may show the branding information in the next version. I may change the lighting design a bit too.
