Congrats Elise, well deserved, as the margin shows, possibly one of the biggest we have seen too.

Congratulations Elise. Beautiful photo! I am interested as to your setup for the shot, can you explain?

Mark - I loved the texture of the water in your shot, especially in contrast to the sharpness of the rocks on the bank. Nicely captured!

Rob - Great photo pf the windows. I am a huge fan of symmetry.

Yegor - Beautiful color and definition in your shot.

All of the entries were great!

Richard, I'm embarrassed to say that I can't tell you about much of a set-up -- the picture was taken outdoors in available light at about 3:00 in the afternoon -- it was overcast, and actually starting to rain a little, which accounts for the water drops. The flower was in a vase sitting on the porch railing. I shot from above, so the background was the street below, which I think is where most of the darkness came from. I spot-metered off the flower, and that's about it -- just darkened the background a little in PS.

    Here's the EXIF data: Canon 40D, 100mm @ f/5.0 for 1/400 sec. ISO 640.

    Thanks, everyone --
