Incense - not all experiments suceed
I spent a good part of the afternoon photographing smoke from some incense and assembling six of the images into a single overlay in colours.
I back-lit the smoke against a black background to get the capture.
I think the technique might have some potential, but I don't think I'm quite there yet....

Re: Incense - not all experiments suceed
Sometimes things that don't quite work out end up in the most surprising places.
I did a bit more work on my smoke images and the local theatre company decided to use it in their production of The Girl on the Train, a play by Rachel Wagstaff.
This is the image that I sent them:
I attended one of the last dress rehearsals before the play opens next week and got a shot of the stage and my work being projected on the back of the stage. It's been cropped to fit the format and the colours have been tweaked a bit to give it the mood the director was looking for.
And no, I did not get any compensation for it. The best I get is my name mentioned in the programme...
I understand from the theatre's business manager that the play will run 10 times through the middle of February and over 96% of the tickets have been sold. The theatre has 350 seats.

That's a lot of eyes on your excellent work. Congratulation!
