Project 52 Week 3
Another of my favourite island malts: just a hop skip and short ferry ride from Jura and one of the classics that has had an up and down history (no, I don't mean what happens when you drink too much ...) the Bruichladdich (pronounced brew-clad-y). It is at the opposite end of the taste spectrum from the Talisker's smoky/peaty flavour as unlike the other Islay malts there is no peat influence.

Do I see a theme emerging?

This could turn into an interesting body of work, as Dan suggests.
I find that there is a lot to like here, but find that the complex, cut glass with those many facets doesn't quite work for me give the relative simplicity of all of the other elements in the image. A simpler glass might be considered.

Re: Project 52 Week 3
Yes, i understand the "many facets" -v- "simplicity" comment from a purist photography perspective but in our house malts are always consumed from that type of glass so as a Project 52 narrative, cut glass (or crystal ) it shall remain.
Looking at it again my main issie is the construction of the wooden shelving used as the base but I was looking for something that was non-reflective and warm. I'm busy for the next few days but I may make time to clone out the gaps.

Thanks for the background here. That is obviously the story you meant to tell, so the cut glass makes sense.
I find that the glass and bottle are both competing for the viewer's attention and wonder if reducing the impact of the bottle and concentrating on the glass might be a direction worth pursuing?

Re: Project 52 Week 3
Thanks Manfred
I burned the neck of the bottle a bit and also cloned out the gaps in the wooden table
