OK, I gave it a "Like" the first time I saw it expecting more comments, so here's an amplification.

I like the concept but not sure it really does justice to the brief - here are my thoughts on opportunities for improvement:

The arm: Doesn't say "movement" and is almost disembodied
The dress: The powdery pink in the rear half of the image again doesn't say "movement" to me - it may have been intended to convey motion blur but doesn't (or not for me - compare to a motor bike or racing car motion blur).

So why did I give it a like? It works for me as an abstract and caught my attention the moment I saw it.

I feel that the image works in the way that you commented with or without movement, but I do agree that her arm looks a bit disembodied. Try this version with the arm moved closer in to the body :

That's my first attempt at using the PS tools for moving body parts. I'm impressed with the results.
