Tea Time in a Traditional Hut

Recent travel to a near-desert region inspired me to revisit photos taken in areas with sparse vegetation, salt collection site, and places where people endure harsh conditions for short periods to make a living.

Tea is prepared in this kettle over a wood fire and served in cups carefully reserved for occasional visitors, who happened to be my wife and myself on this particular day.

A commendable gesture from a modest family, for which we expressed our gratitude repeatedly.

Nice image, Antonio. I would crop a little off the bottom below the small white plate. That would bring the subject down in the image—just my view.

Thank you for your comment Daniel,

As always, opinions on these matters tend to vary from person to person…
Personally, the framing I chose seemed—and still seems—right to me. If I were to follow your suggestion, I would be cutting out part of the wood that contributes to the overall atmosphere of the scene.
For quite some time, I was rather strict about framing formats, but thanks to this forum and the invaluable feedback from members like yourself, I have gradually embraced what I now consider the freedom of proportions.

Wait, wait, Daniel ! On second thought, I must admit that your suggestion is actually far better than mine !
Changing one’s mind isn’t usually a bad thing. There are exceptions, of course—but in this case, I believe it’s for the best !
    Thank you ! Cheers !
