    A Higher Calling

My wife thought I should remove the man in the front. I have looked at other versions where I crop him out. It's okay, but I shot it because of the man. I'm just trying to figure out if it works.

Works for me. If you really want to remove something, how about the dark object at the bottom of the left (as viewed) ladder? It spoils the symmetry - perhaps clone out the black object to the left of the banner too?

I agree with Bill's comments. The image does not work as well without the man. He acts to draw the viewer into the subject and fills a large and uninteresting part of the scene. I don't mind that black bag on the bottom left either as it does add a tiny be more asymmetry to fairly symmetrical scene.

My contribution to the Jubileu da Esperança - 2025

Here is my contribution to this thread.
I've gone a little further than what was previously discussed, as I felt it was necessary to correct the perspective and make a few subtle adjustments—such as increasing the exposure of the canvas while simultaneously reducing the ambient light.

Additionally, the dark spots and the backpack have disappeared.
These last modifications are a slight tweak to reality, but I’m confident that most people won’t even notice their absence.
This is in Lisbon, after all...

I like this, and Antonio's edits are pretty much what I would have done, although the top could use more perspective correction.
