Grand mother
The grand mother stayed in a corner, watching the festivities from afar.
She sat there with tired legs and a heart full of memories. The wrinkles on her face are marks of time, with each perhaps telling a story of a life.
Although she no longer has the energy to dance or sing in the festivities of her home town Chichicastenago, she still finds some pleasure in watching the younger ones celebrate.
The murmur of voices and the colourful attire warm her soul, even though she prefers to keep a certain distance from the moving noisy youth.

Re: Grand mother
Love it. Any chance for more space above and below?
Regardless the face speaks volumes.

Re: Grand mother
Thank you for your comment, Daniel !
As I’ve mentioned somewhere in this forum before, all my photos are edited to some extent in order to achieve a look that pleases me, using the digital tools I have.
This is yet another image that I worked on, aiming to highlight the elderly woman's face within the environment she was part of.
You asked whether there’s more to the scene beyond this framing. Yes, there is more space both at the top and bottom, but the background was quite harsh and busy, so I gradually modified it in the way I felt worked best, which is what I’m presenting here.
I do notice, however, that the eyes are not both perfectly in focus. While that does matter to me to some extent, I don’t think it takes away from the rather impact of the image.
