The image captures an instant of fragility and beauty where a cicada, suspended in a web, emerges from the darkness where the light reveals golden details on its translucent wings.
The intricate web, imprisons the cicada in a barely visible labyrinth in a minimalist composition, intensifying the mystery.
A sensitive and fragile image by Daniel, a fleeting moment.
Thanks Antonio. The original had a lot of technical issues due to the lighting and my camera settings. Processing helped but a lack of sharpness is evident. Despite this it spoke a story.
I thought it might be a picture of me![]()
Uh-oh. You've discovered photography of bugs. I warn you, there is no turning back! If you don't mind that strangers will think that you are a little odd, there are almost endless opportunities. I think it was the biologist E. O. Wilson, commenting on the huge number of species of beetles already known at the time, who quipped, "If there is a God, she's inordinately fond of beetles."
Nice! Thanks for sharing it.
