bowens mount for flash/LED equipment

Are there any variations for Bowens mounts? If I purchase a LED light kit with Bowens mounts, do i have to be careful about the type of Bowens mount on a light modifier?

I use Bowens mount for some of my flash units and have not had any compatibility issues from different manufacturers.

Unfortunately, there is no way to 100% guarantee that various equipment manufacturers will ship gear that is "on spec".

My studio flashes and my continuous lights are all Bowens S mount. I have bought modifiers such as softboxes, barn doors, snoots etc from a variety of suppliers and all have fitted perfectly.

Note Bowens S mount. Many years ago Bowens also used a claw type mount called Bowens L.
