    Abandoned Garage....

Captured in the small rural community of Scipio, Utah.
Abandoned, crumbling and rusting garage with Sinclair fuel pumps. Probably 1950's era.
    C&C welcome.....

    Re: Abandoned Garage....

As I look at this image, which I’m quite fond of, my eye lingers on the details of the old petrol pumps and the garage façade — the rust and peeling paint tell a visual story of time gone by.

Still, I can’t help but feel that a wider view might have offered more context about the place. Then again, a glimpse into the interior would have sparked curiosity too, inviting us to imagine the objects and memories from forgotten times.

Hi Len, I agree with Antonio.

In particular, compositionally, I feel it would have been nice to see the left hand edge of the left hand window cill, however, I think I detect a slight shadow of possibly a (no doubt modern) vehicle that you wished to exclude.

Assuming I had time, I'd have shot many more photos of the locale and detail, do you have any others?

It is a nice shot and not withstanding my thoughts above, hits the spot, well done.

    Regards, Dave

This is a nice shot. To follow up on an issue in another thread today, this is an image where I would boost texture considerably and contrast a bit, probably selectively.

Thanks to Dave and Dan for their contributions. This image was taken in 2016 and I could not recollect if there were obstructions blocking the view of the structure.
Looking through the archived raw files I can now see there was indeed a delivery van parked on the left front side of the building This was was excluded to retain the 1950's "feel"
