Photo's into paintings?

I've been playing around trying to find a good processing style for this. Anyone else convert photos into paintings? I'm finding every photo is different and requires different types of processing to get the look i'm after. Here is one i did and like very much........................Feel free to post your paintings.

Very nice -- I like the colors and the overall feeling. Here's one I did -- I use a combination of "Paint Daubs" and "Posterization" to get a painterly effect:



I also used a number of textures on this particular one. There's a link to a larger size here so you can see the detail.

Very nice elise. Here is another one i just did. Lots of layers and textures to get the effect.

I've always wanted to do something with this photo but also like it as it is. There was a car parked in front so I cropped the stairs a bit.

That first one of yours is something Elise. Maybe when the snow melts, and I have learned some more about capture and sharpening, I may try that. Was there a book that helped you get started?

I have one I did, but it is not that great, but I would be proud to have created that image of yours. Here it is in the spirit of the thread.
