Hi to All
Stumbled across CIC site (goldmine) while trying to find info to help me turn off the auto on my DSLR and learn how to take better pictures. Started out with a Cannon Ftb for many years. Finally saved enough to pick up a Sony A33 and enter the digital world of DSLR. I've started to read some of the tutorials (great stuff) and hope to grow in knowledge and ability here.

And I'm glad you did. We tend to go with real names for the most part. So, if you want to go into Edit Profile, you can put your name under 'real names' and it will appear alongside your posts.
I hope you enjoy being part of CIC.
Reading the rest of this message will help you get the most out of the site.
If you haven't already done so, please be sure to read Post #1 of this thread HERE. There are links in that post to other helpful advice and guidance. Also our Code of Conduct in the FAQ HERE
CiC is a resource strongly focused towards learning, no matter what your current level of knowledge, skills and experience. As well as these forums and the tutorials , the Mod team thought it might be a useful addition to CiC to have in-house access to some selected video tutorials. You can find them in the Community Lounge forum under 'Photography Video Tutorials'.

Re: Hi to All
Find a field guide for your camera and you will find many possibilities for digital photography, the manual will give you guidance on the controls.
