That's a really nice photo of a cactus flower. Given the very narrow depth of field with f2.8, I think you did the best you could have with what is in focus and what isn't. I think I'd still like to see another photo with greater depth of field since you have a very three-dimensional flower. Colors are nice. The composition is good with the flower offset a little to the left but balanced by it facing a little to the right. I might have tried cropping it square but the current framing is good. Also, your choice of frame is good - bright white would have been distracting.
