Keywording in Lightroom
Hi
I just started to try Adobe Lightroom 2.0 and I find its keywording feature pretty useful.
However, I have a small question for Lightroom users:
Does the keyword(s) applied to a photo will stay with it.. I know that if I change the metadata, its gonna stay even if I copy the photo to another computer.
So does the keywords will show up if I copy the pic to another computer and try to find it within Lightroom ?
Because I don't want to go over the process of keywording if I eventually format my computer.
Thx

Re: Keywording in Lightroom
When you export from LR you can chose to 'minimise the metadata' or [presumably] leave it complete.
But you must explicitly export from LR, not just copy the file.

Re: Keywording in Lightroom
oh right,
so if I use Export from LR, another computer with LR will be able to read the keywords, rating, flags and colours markings ?
thanks

Re: Keywording in Lightroom
Yes, that should work.
You could also consider 'Export as a Catalog' -- depends on how many pix you have.
Look under the file menu for the various options.
