#1 looks very nice. I like the way you composed the shot.
I like both and have yet to pick a favorite. The composition in #1 as mention by Jiro, and in # to the subject matter draws me in with the fine crystals.
I agree with Donald, the second one is my favourite as well
I agree with Donald this one is superb....I would love your 'Winter' series printed as a coffee table book Wendy
although I do have 1 question re Donald's comment and it has me confused on many images - when people say "top-left" are you always referring to the side near our left hand....or do you think of the scene as it would be looking back to the camera?
I know to some this may sound a really dumb question but after more than 20 years in Radiography/Ultrasound the latter method is how we always label and look at images...as if the subject is looking back at us from the image.
also the title of your thread gave me a chuckle Wendy....I thought Katy had hacked your computer...."frosting"..
You're absolutely right to raise that point Kay. It is one I'm usually conscious of and state 'as we look at it', or whatever. Sorry for not doing so here. If we're attempting to offer constructive C & C we need to make sure that what we say is going to be clearly understood by all who read our comments. I do usually go for the 'left' or 'right' 'as we look at it' as I think this is probably easier to grasp.
Cheers Donald - that makes more sense to all...I just have to consciously retrain my brain....or maybe sub consciously might work better
They are both lovely, but the crispness of the second is amazing.

Water just seems to freeze prettier in Canada and you have a good eye for seeing it, they are lovely.

Thank you everyone, I don't think I've ever seen frost like we had the morning these were taken. Glad you liked them
Wendy
Kay, if you think YOU are confused, approach it from the view point of someone who is ambidextrous.
(Ambidextrous = doesn't know his left hand from his right. )

Goodness! I only got my first email a little over a year ago. I've never even heard of "frosting". (bemused smilie)
Wendy, me too!.... everything that they said! Beautiful - and I think that I like the hoar frost on #2, particularly. You know how I love these weeds and ice. Now, I'm going to have to concentrate extra hard to not attempt to replicate this by accident.
