    Finally!

I finally got a chance to get out with my new(to me) D200. It has been burning a hole in my attention span for a week. There was a brief respite in rain and work this evening and I got a whole 12 shots in. here are two I like.

Look for a chance tomorrow as well, we are sending you another good day. I like the wispy clouds in your first shot and it's nice to catch a bird across the sun.

Good to see you out and about Pops. Some lovely colour in that sky.

You can always find yourself a nice cafe to sit in and watch travelers running out of the rain. Nice shots, in the first were the clouds moving quickly or were they just wispy that day?

That's quite a sky in #1. Beautifully presented.

John, those clouds were moving at a fairly good clip. However, they are about 70 to 90 miles from the camera, so there was no problem with motion blur.

That shot was pretty much a grab, as the hawk flew as I was moving down to my shooting patch. I saw that he was going to get himself silhouetted against the sun, so I popped the lens cap, raised the camera and started poking the button.

What made me ask is because the image reminded me of photos of waterfalls and how the water can look solid with a short exposure.
