Bananas... in Canvas

My impression of an oil painting of some bananas.

Nikon D70, 50mm f1.8D lens, Exposure at f5.6 at 1/40 of a second in Manual Mode, Single 60 Watt lamp light source. Saved for Web using Adobe Photoshop CS5.

Jiro, you are gettin some good practice...I like the lighting but maybe need a second light to combat the shadows and the color looks very nice.

Thanks, Paul. I decided to use only one light and then put a white reflector near the shadow area to add some detail in it. I tried the 2 light source but it was too overpowering, I lost some textures. I need to make a snoot for the other table lamp. I'll probably buy some scrap sheet metal for that. I like this, especially the way the bananas are lit from one side/front. I feel it gives a lovely, slightly subdued effect. Nice background too.
