Fall is here
sorry for the mess up...
Well after several efforts I believe I finally got it.
Anyway, I wanted to post one that I thought had some nice colours. I like the water fall. The water fall is small however I thought that it was a good size for the composition. What do you think?
Thanks for the support Paul.

You should be able to add your photo in the same post if you like. Go to edit post and you can go advanced from there if need be.
Oh, and no worries..it happens. ")

Re: Fall is here
Hey Mike,
Thats a BEAUTIFUL place.... Is it possible for you to get into that water stream and take shot from there? It would be worth taking the risk (if any)

Re: Fall is here
Lately I have been moving away from liking detailed images like this one, but I really like this. It has beautiful colour and is well composed to me. I especially like the way my eye travels from the foreground waterfall, along the wee stream and on to the waterfall in the background.

Re: Fall is here
Hi Mike. Welcome to CiC and thanks for persevering. This is a lovely shot.
I agree with Kit's comments and I think the strength lies in what I call the 'visual full stop', namely, that dark tree at the back of the stream that keeps your eye within the stream. Behind it the area is very light and would have kept our attention but having lead is in this stops us where you want us to look and we work our way back out looking at the detail and colours. Wonderful composition.

Hi, Mike! You're from Victoria, BC! I love it there! This wouldn't be from the Japanese garden in the Butchart Gardens, would it?

Re: Fall is here
Great color, you get better contrast with leaves turning color than you do with the greenery. Also, red is such a dynamic color that it adds so much to the image.

Re: Fall is here
Thanks for all the nice comments but just as important to me are the things that I did correctly.
This photo was taken in the Beacon Hill Park in Victoria just a few blocks from downtown. It is perfect family gathering place.
