Hello! I'm new around here...

I've been trolling the forums in anonymity long enough! I decided today that I should just dive right in and make my first post, so here we go!

As of Christmas 2010 and with many thanks to my loving girl-friend, I'm a new Canon T1i dSLR owner! Needless to say, I am so glad she took the plunge for me. I've hemmed and hawed about buying a dSLR for a long time, but now that I have one, I don't know how I lasted without it.

I'm not shy about diving into my new hobbies and goodies whole-hog, so I've been digesting the contents of this website with some serious vigor! I must say, I'm grateful to have stumbled upon this great resource. Not only are the tutorials well written and thoughtful, but the user content in the forum is amazing. I'm blown away by the candor of the threads and thoughtful "troll free" answers. It's rare to find a community like that on the web these days! It's one that I'd certainly like to be a bigger part of.
