I am enjoying your work.

I accept your comment about the lower portion and based on the shot, as presented, I don't mind the close crop but feel the area around the face to be a bit too bright. You might dry darkening via a slight burning in or saturation around that area so that it is a closer match to the neck. The background is a nice compliment to the shot.
