cheers Antonio, I mean't bigger length x width, for instance 1500 x 1000 pixels so that I can fit it onto my screen. But a pic of the cement works will be nice as well.

Oh yes... I know what you mean...
But I don't know how to, with Cambridge in Colour. In SmugMug I do know but not here...
May be Flickr allow it...
Let's try:
No, I don't know how to. And I need to. I'll work on it later on...

Try this for the moment please.

I use Tinypic Antonio; as in the above just uploading gets an image code that when pasted into the thread can be viewed full size in a new tab or window. cheers
Right click on the image,
Choose open link in new tab or window,
You can then see the image full size.
It is lovely Antonio.
Nice shots Antonio.
I assume you used the polariser on this shot. I think I preferred the one without. The nice blue reflected from the sky suited the image - but each day has light is different - that is what is so good about photography.
This is a view over the World Heritage listed Lord Howe Island: off the east coast of Australia. One of its main exports is Kentia Palms to Europe. There are only about 300 residence on the island and the only take around 300 guests at any one time. Transport is by foot or bicycle. Great beaches and walking trails.
Nice place
I would like to go there... I have been in Australia for a couple of hours in Darwin in the airport back... no, I only say that it was some 535 years ago.
No Peter, no CPF at all. In none of them. Only LR work with a light passage in CS

Today I show you one shot of the area from the same point of view but with a different camera and a different lens.
This time with a 20 D and a 70-200mm at 70.
Also posted in today's thread.
The light is terribly harsh and there was a mist all over because of the heat (37 Centigrade the car was saying)
It doesn't look too sharp but it is in fact. Must be soemthing about posting from here ...
I am in a changing process. I place the files in CiC with a small size (266k) and I think that is why they are not very sharp as they used to be.
I don't know if this is what you mean... Sorry Colin. I am a disaster when it comes to this kind of things.
I used to place my files in SmugMug but now I want gradually move to Flickr.
I don't know how to post from Flickr, yet. !
I do have tried but did not suceed. I do have asked someone but it takes some time...
One from SmugMug with 1.4 Mb jpg. Better
Hi Antonio,
Me "Dave" not "Colin"
It is the pixel dimension (not file size) that will affect sharpness when hosted here at CiC, they must be smaller than 700 pixels, if not, they will be made so when saved here, and that is what can make them appear soft.
Bannacht (Carol) has just succeeded with flickr image here at CiC, perhaps she can help?
However, it will still be resized to 700 (if larger), but at least it can be right clicked and opened in a new tab at the size you post on Flickr.
I generally always downsize, sharpen and post at 700 px here, so everyone gets to see an optimum image, then if I have a larger version available, I put a link to it on PBase to avoid the problem altogether.
Thanks,
Hi Antonio
Secret factory in the forest. Nice photo but 37 is a bit warm for me.
One from my recent roadtrip. This is from Yosemite. I have got a few nice ones from Monument Valley as well. On posting from Flickr: if you click on the photo you selected you can go to "All Sizes". Go to bottom of page where it says 2. Grab the photo's URL:. Copy that URL and paste it with Insert Image on this page. That should work. You can choose Large, Medium or Small. This is Large.
Antonio, see your pm's re posting from flickr to Cic. Hope this helps. cheers. Carol
Thank you Peter for having posted an image from the US
It looks gorgeous. Very calm and quiet.

You are most probably right Colin... It would be easy if I had ever seen him or yourself. But you have seen me
-
Thank you Carol It's very easy indeed... Silly me

Hello,
António I like the composing of the picture with the cement factory in it. The bluured out leaves in the foreground leads the eye directly towards the factory. I would try to increase contrast and reduce saturation in blue a little bit to minimize the effects of haze.
Peter, this is a great picture to me. The colors of the water and sky, the shapes, everything fits so good.
bye
Robert
