@sahil
Thanks Sahil. Your shots always inspired me to learn more about photography.
@antonio
I am very grateful on every advice you've given. So I take my chance every now and then to post here. I know its constructive criticism and look up to you as a mentor.
I've seen your work and very thankful for every insights you've given me.
Of course, i have to discover and work hard with my style.
So don't worry if you criticize my work. I always trust you that is for my own good.

WHAT??? You kidding me, right?!?!?!!!@sahil
Thanks Sahil. Your shots always inspired me to learn more about photography.
I am sure Mike that you can do better than that
Try to compose slowly... looking and chimping... slowly... re-composing... testing again... and again... some branches in front of the camera not focused... again... again...
Take 20 and get 1 good !
I want to see the result !! (just kidding OK ? )
Open the file in CS# and duplicate layer. Choose Multiply and adjust opacity at will. Try it please
I do like this Gary. All the landscape goes towards an end at the right. The movement of the clouds ...
There is a small red "something" at the end you should clone...
And something else: do you have the entire wood "pillar" just here in the foreground ?
OK it is not pillar but you understand. Column is also good for you to understand what I mean for pillar.
It would be a slight displacement of the capture to the bottom. See what I mean ?
Thank you for posting
Because your post made me remember another one about triangles I have been looking for and could not find here in CiC, I post one from my owns I shot in Algarve-Portugal some time ago.
I could remember this image and I went to the "safe" and grab it
How do you find it ? Do you like it ? Why don't you ? What do like/dislike ?
Thanks Antonio!
All I did in PP was white balance adjustment, slight exposure adjustment, and output sharpening, no cropping. The 'red' thing on the right edge is the bottom of a guide wire for a power pole. I did not notice it was in the frame at the time I took the photograph. I will have to clone it out. The post in the foreground ends about 4 inches below the bottom of the photo. I did have the bottom of the post in the frame before I took the photograph but I did not like it that way and shifted the view upwards slightly to cover it up. In retrospect, I should have left some more grass along the bottom which would have taken some of the sky/clouds off the top.
I will be spending some time in the near future going through my 'keepers' and doing some cropping and other adjustments. Lots to learn and at times a bit overwhelming due to time constraints between family and work and so many photpgraphs to do. When I do get back to reviewing older photos that I have taken, I forget what I was planning to do to them... LOL.

Here is an edited version:
I applied lens distortion correction, (I was amazed at the amount of distortion with this lens at 18mm), which effectively removed the red guy wire on the right, then I cropped some of the sky/clouds from the top, sharpened for output to screen. I am using Lightroom 3.

Never mind Kit. The "Was this post helpful" is not that important.
It's a pretty simple this Multiply business isn't it ?
However, it doesn't work in every situations as you will be able to understand later. For portraits it seems not to work.
Or better, it doesn't work for me because I don't know how to

Gary, could you send me the original file ? Please ? Even in LR I think I could improve the image. Under my point of view of course. When you get the time to.
Send the raw file IYP antonioluiscorreia@gmail.com
Oh yes. Pole. Not pillar. Pillar is bigger. I knew it. I knew it
Steve, it was a good thing to park this image here.
But Steve don't you think that - at the right - the image is too bright ?
I feel like telling you that I would like to see someone walking on this road.
Very humid place isn't it ?
The monopod is quite a help isn't it ? Sometimes too cumbersome but we can't have everything in Life can we ?
