something different (fake flowers)
Sun Peeping Through the Trees in the Late Afternoon at Lake Crandall
I was trying to get the sun coming through the trees and reflecting off the water. Unfortunately I got some lens flair as well. The question is, does the lens flair add or detract? If it detracts, what should be done to either eliminate it or turn it into a positive?

Any other C & C? Thanks!

@FRANKMI, flare has to go, the reflexion is a bit off, tree turns out green in the water
try not to over sharpen your pictures

Thank you for the feedback Vandedburg! I'll try to clone out the flair. I am starting to get a feel for how much to sharpen. I thought 4px was about right but now I'm thinking more like 1 px would be sufficient. I am also trying to sharpen only the parts that I think need the attention but in this shot it seemed to be the whole schmolie. The learning experience can be both frustrating and fun at times. LOL

Interesting; but I don't think it is a landscape. A very pleasant image but I'm a bit harsh as regards landscape photo's as I think they have to look like an identifiable place.
It is a winning image as most of yours are though. :)

You're right, will pay more attention next time :o

I know... you can't control everything... :)
Re: Sun Peeping Through the Trees in the Late Afternoon at Lake Crandall
In the last two days I produced a lot of shots
I would like to share some of them with you, (max rate of 1 pic every 24/48 h :)) in order to have your feedback
all kind of comments are welcome, but I prefer the critics!
the one below is a simple and common shot I suppose, but it is quite interesting for my eyes
what do you think about it? it's boring? ...?
many thanks to all who will post their comments

Re: Sun Peeping Through the Trees in the Late Afternoon at Lake Crandall
I think the lack of relative size makes this a difficult shot to judge. Just because I have shot a few scenes like this, I know the water in the foreground is little more than a foot high (1/3 meter) and that in itself makes it rather uninteresting to me. However, good color and exposure in your favor.

Hi Nicola. I like powerful water and never tire of them. Here I think I would have liked to give the rock a little more space but I can't think what else I could do.
Cheers for your comments, I wanted to include the big fish that was spaying across my view but a million people deprived me of it.
:)
