Did you use any filter ?
Thank you, Antonio. And this one's easy to answer I do not own any filters The WB of the photo is as shot as well, and from my memory I do not remember applying any filter in software. Though, now that you mention it, I guess I could have used a GND later to get some more variation in the background (hits head against the wall :P).

The thing behind I thought looked a bit like a control tower is actually from a Japanese prisoner of war camp; it is very interesting inside with sounds of the jungle and heat, it was really warm.

    Re: Landscapes

Is this too extreme Antonio; the other theme of the competition is 'flowers' and stuff, but it has to be recognisable as the NMA and unfortunately most of them have died.

Tried that...no good. You need to clone out the shadow in the bottom right corner. It will be tricky because you are also going to have to match the lighting in that area.

Indeed it is...and, if you could ever so slightly tone down the yellow in the villa, you'd have a perfect photograph. Nice cloning job.

To tone that down, you might want to do a new layer " Mode: overlay" and set gray to 20% (as a starting place) with your brush opacity to 75%, 70% flow. From there, you can go up or down in either the brus or the layer opacity. Make sure your foreground color is black.

One other thing, you are not saving your files to the correct size for CiC. Use the "Save to Web" feature in PS and set the longest side for 700. You will want to sharpen before this step. After you have saved it, reopen and resharpen. I use something in the neighborhood of 110%, 1.3 Radius, 3 levels for the first sharpen (you can duplicate the layer if you think it needs to be sharper) and for the post (700 side) sharpen, I use 163%, .3, 0 These are just starting points...adjust to your taste.

    Have fun experimenting.

1st HDR photo. I recently started HDR and I really like to do the process. Here is a picture of my backyard. It is not the best photo but any tips for continuing on in HDR.
