Cheers for your comments, I wanted to include the big fish that was spaying across my view but a million people deprived me of it.
next time you could try to cry to the people that the police is fining the parked cars one hundred pounds... so you will see them run away!

However, good color and exposure in your favor.
    Thanks Chris
your comment help me to watch the pic with an "observer's eye", not with the eye of whom took the picture

Does this Wheel look wonky; unfortunately a lot of messing about to get as much of it as I have. Verticals were straight but the river was running downhill. I think somebody should treat me to a new lens.

And here is a kid; does he make the shot. Maybe if I was any good I would have noticed people more and included more of them.

    Hi Steve
in this picture, clouds seem too contrasty in my monitor... could it be due to too much sharpening?
I'd not be too much severe but perhaps also in the other two image the clouds seems a bit unnatural...
    excuse me if i'm wrong...

Yes you are right Nicola; that is sort of my trademark with natural normal everything but sky; I push it to the extreme, very carefully of course and they are overpowering, but then so is the subject.

It is not oversharpened; it is over contrast on Medium detail, and then on a difference layer another pin light layer with auto levels. It is a matter of taste though and I can guarantee some people will say 'just push the button', at least not many of those here if any.

    Solitude

    dear gents
here below an other pic taken few days ago, any comments and critics are welcome!
Steve, the sky is as natural as the circular polarizer lets me catch it

    Landscapes - Archive

I think I will title it "solitude"... could it work?

    Re: Solitude

I like the lonely feel about it Nicola. The sky is dramatic bit if it could be even bigger than the subject, I think it would more easily convey the message.

    Good work.

Nicola...Too busy to focus on any one particular moment of solitude. I did an edit and layer adjustment to give a bit more detail to the walker. Hope you like and see what I mean.

    Re: Solitude

Just to show how I get a big sky; probably superfluous use of layers but :

Layer Color 100% (Deep Yellow Filter 30% PL no)
    Layer Color 100%
Layer Pin Light !00% (levels AUTO with white clipping)
    Layer Luminosity 58%
    Layer Color 100%
    Layer Difference 75%
    Layer Multiply 100% (Gaussian 120Pixel)
    Layer Screen 100%
    Layer Screen 100%
    Layer Screen 100%
    Layer Screen 100%
    Background

    All layers are duplicated background.

Just to show how I do it Nicola, the picture requires your expert hand.

Landscapes - Please post them here

I have been way for some time but I am back now.
As you may understand I wrote somewhere before that I always comment posts in this thread, but I will not do it this time because others - as much or more importants than I am in this forum - were kind enough to comment the posted images.
I thank you all for posting and commenting.

I hope I can be here often from today on.

    Please

1 - Have you noticed that when we answer the forum does not take you to the post you have just written as it used to do ?

2 - Have you noticed that when we start from the e-mail it doesn't take us to the last post but to the page where that post is, as it used to do ?

Or is it my Mac ? or is it just me
