    Hello,

Peter, I never went to Australia, but I think I should do it when I have got time. It is a nice picture that forms a lot of imaginations in my head.

Steve, if you are going to try to get the running steam rain I suggest to look for a good shooting position on the inner side of a slight railway bend.

    bye
    Robert

    Hi Robert,

Lake Elizabeth is a great location; in fact, the whole of the Great Ocean Road in Victoria is wonderful to visit and photograph - great seascapes and around 14 waterfalls.

We have a lot of German visitors with many starting their visit in the more adventurous ‘red centre’ where the land is much harsher but just as beautiful. Photographically the red dirt and blue sky create great colour contrasts and while the mountains are small (following years of erosion) they are rugged and striking. They form a kind of ‘painted desert’.

Cheers; actually it was very hard because I waited for hours for a train and nothing went past, so I made enquiries and a chap phoned them up and asked them to pop down this way for a photo, but it was at the station. This is a rush job cos my brother has to stop at every coffee house on the way back. I will do them tomorrow.

Steve, I can well imagine that it looks pretty much like this anyway. True? In which case, you've captured closer to what the human eye sees.

Wonky but you get the idea. The proper equipment is both too expensive and heavy.

Does anybody know any software that can straighten this out? Something like draw a curve on the window then click straighten. A very wide lens is needed. (

    hi.

    Cloudy weather... ?
Yep, as usual. It is really cloudy here in Japan this time. I have no choice. I must practice.

    Is this natural water
Yes. That is natural water flowing in semi natural stream. =)

I had this problem once in Cambodia and spoiled a lot of pictures as newbie (still am)

To overcome this problem I would suggest one of the three things:

    1. Use of a graded filter like Cokin for example
    2. Measure partially the light to the sky and to the "land" looking at the histogram and adjusting accordingly.
    3. Both techniques

    Care to try ?

    Hi Antonio.

As of this time, I only have ND-2 filter. I don't have GND yet.

So I guess, I'll go for #2. But I honestly do not know how to do it. I usually depend on camera metering
and start adjusting from there. I always set it to manual mode.

    Can you elaborate it more?
