What beautiful photos, Richard. The colours just pop through the fog.

That is just amazing. You have to understand that I have watched almost every BBC episode of Location, Location, Location and the Relocation shows just so I can see the landscape of your fair land. Sigh...I love our seaside scenes, but castles... We don't have "real" castles in Canada.

    Re: Lunenburg County

Myra, I love the way the three boats are in a line parallel to the shoreline. The shoreline and the boats lead my eye to the white building on the far shore. That white building, although small is an integral part of the overall image. I would love to visit Nova Scotia. I come from the East Coast of the U.S. but, unfortunately never was able to travel much when I lived back East. A trip of a hundred miles seemed to be the end of the earth to me. Living in California, I'll drive a hundred miles for lunch with a friend.

    Re: Lunenburg County

It just keeps getting better on here.

That series in Yosemite magnificently displays the majesty of the place. It really is one of those 'places to see before you die', Hopefully I'll make it. My only tenuous claim to a connection is as a member of the John Muir Trust here in Scotland which, rather obviously, takes its name from John Muir

Better than the first one no doubt...
    But still with altar cut

I am sure that is a cold and nice place to visit. Is it a place to venerate ?
Sorry, Antonio for the delayed reply. I had read the comment on my iPod and didn't reply then. Well Its pretty cold & the air is very thin. The oxygen level is pretty low. One needs to rest for 24-36 hours to acclimatize, if reached there by air. This place is heaven. A must visit. Do visit this place on your next photography expedition to India. June-July is the best time.

Wow! What beautiful landscapes here. The Lake in South China & Yosemite are beautiful..

    Richard, please...

    don't go that fast
I feel the "obligation" of answering all the posts in this thread I started. This is the reason why my others two I started were a success (I think) or at least one of the reasons... I mean the SCPs and nSCPs.

Thank you for posting again and again. I hope you don't mind if I really ask you to post less but often...

Great pictures indeed... not only in the US but also in China.
The last one in China could be improved and I hope you agree with me, if the man with the boat would be a little more to the our left.
Great colors and you did capture the ambiance very well.
    Thank you for posting
    Please keep doing so

One of mines also from China. I was not so good as I am today in CS and Lightroom whatever.

    Nice Myra, nice
I would like to see it more dense. Not only a little darker but with more density in colors, brightness and contrast.

Thanks, Antonio. It is so helpful to have a critique. I tried again, but may have lost the trees. The clouds look better, though.

For this version I took the saturation to 15, the shadows to 15 and the Highlights to 50.

    Re: Lunenburg County

I like it better Myra but remember that I am not an expert...

I still think you image could be improved. How ? I don't really know. I would need to do it myself from the raw file.

But it is pretty good already Don't give up. I am too critical / demanding (even to myself )

If you wish you can send me the original image to my email and I will try something and let you know what I do. Deal ?

I think I am going to go back and play around with it a bit more. I like the new version of the sky, but I miss the silkiness of the water and the darkness of the trees. These are things I would not even have considered six months ago!

I do not know if anybody likes the burned out look but I'm practising blowing the sky; trying to get a silhouette feel without the silhouette or is that impossible or stupid.

Like this with 100% fill light or near it. An old cross with iron sword nailed to it.
