This is a war memorial on the spot of a beacon used to warn of the Spanish Armada at Crich in the Peak District.

It is very high for me and there was a lot of flies and I got a rash where some insects were eating my leg.

Thank you for posting Sunsets in Africa are generaly very nice and the proof is your image

I don't know if Cabo das Agulhas (Needles Cape) is Portuguese or Spanish.
But Cabo da Boa Esperança (Cape of Good Hope) a bit North West, yes it is Portuguese. From the old times ...

And then there was the amazingly good photo. Some blue bits I don't understand, but the atmosphere is great.

The end of the water on the right is blue. It is unexpected. It is a remarkably atmospheric picture indeed very good.

Excuse me Steve but I don't get your point.
Indeed at the right there is a blue smoke but I can't see any water with too much blue.

    Perhaps it is my monitor...

I have edited the image inserted in the post so now you can kindly see it bigger in Flickr with black background.

Thank you for your comments Antonio. Yes indteed Agulhas is Portuguese. The needles are the rocks which have a rather saw tooth appearance and once the vessel runs aground on them it is torn to pieces once it attempts to reverse its direction. There are over 160 wecksr ranging back over several hundred years in the region
    Regards
    Johan.

    This shot is simply amazing!!

Antonio:- you could have walked some more steps to the left and capture that curve in a lower position and at the same time, the green boat in a more bold perspective...
But he wouldn't have had had that mountain as background, if he had moved a li'l left.

I keep thinking that bolder angles are more interesting. However, your two pictures are nice and well composed
Let me add something else: Be aware that when I critique it doesn't mean that I can do better. Sometimes I think I would but others I wouldn't.
Better. To do better. I am questioning myself: what is it to do better ? What is better ? And what is not ? Who decides it ? How ? Under which criteria ? Based on what ? When I am no one in the artistic photographic movement...
    Just thoughts and doubts.

Anyway, I have an opinion most of the times about the images here and elsewhere.
My opinion may be wrong or not but I like to express it. And I like you to read it or I wouldn't be here.
Thank you for reading my thoughts and doubts

    Excelent Mike. Very nice.
People give a sense of scale to the landscape and the blue flowers is s must. Perhaps a bit more brightness and contrast would make it better
I like the curve at the far end and the tree on the left.
    Well done

    Re: Cambodia

That is very nice Antonio; but I wouldn't ever go to Cambodia on holiday, but would go to take photo's. It is all irrelevant really. You are my eyes and I see the world through you. I can imagine this and from looking at your picture I can see it is warm but not hot, there is probably a fresh breeze. It is a divine photo; thankyou very much.
