I love these. I can visualise them printed on large canvas.

Try bigger here if you please.
Thank you all for the comments.
Steve, you know about the Bible as much as I do
The shots were done in Manual with the setting to the lightest area on the scene. No particular care. Just enough to overlap some areas.

So much space, so wide and yet so crowded, viewed from an interessting angle. Very exciting, Antonio.

    Hello Robert
I would say too crowed you know... Like Mont Saint Michel in France and some well known places.
These places loose all their charm with so many people, shops selling post-cards, marshmallows, mugs and all that kind of stuff.
At that day we were supposed to see the Sunset but he was shy.
At the edge of the land my wife saw a guy who has been taken for a few moments by the strong waves.
He was lucky because the sea didn't want to have him for dinner and he only got hurt on the legs and hands by the rocks.
At the right, near the staircases (I mean steps) you will see a lady dressed in blue with a missing head. She didn't loose her head on location but CS is responsible in spite of the excellent work.

Sundown at the beach or two means of transportation.
    Crop at 1/2, Colin ! ...
This time I have worked on white balance, saturation and luminosity. I usually don't.

Antonio, are you on a roll or what? A beautiful 'liquid' sea and I love that heavy horizon line. Excellent work...can't wait for what will come next. You could covert me to landcape photography yet

Colin, I couldn't frame the whole area with the 24-70 on the 5D at the point where I was standing.
Yours is simple and effective. Thank you for the contribution
But it seems a little pixelated or is it my Mac ?

    Steve,
You made me go and see the meaning of "to be on a roll". I wouldn't say so regarding the future of Europe and this country in constant decay while certain powers grow with our own cooperation (European). I say no more. Period.
Let's try to get the best of Life while we can, right ?
Steve, don't you have a landscape to post ? You do so nice, gorgeous and creative images...

    Hi Antonio,

Might be time to invest in an EF 16-35mm F/2.8L USM II

It's not pixilated - possibly just a bit over-sharpened (the original is 5600 pixels across the wide part) - I'll revisit the workflow at some stage.

    Hello Colin
That lens was the first one I bought with the 20D some 5/6 years ago.
It is not possible to travel with all the stuff as you know.
And I think the use of this specif lens in this scenario wouldn't work as I was too close and it would cause too much deformation on the image. Perhaps I am right perhaps not.
This time, my wife didn't let me bring the 70-200 with the 20D because two cameras is hard to carry. But I have regretted such a decision and I will not obey again.

@ Alis. Thank you Alis. It is indeed a good shot. I must recognize

Thank you James for posting here. You do have a nice and interesting perspective here.
However, I would suggest you to lens correct because the horizon looks kind of curved.

This is a field I pass on my way to work in No Brunswick NJ. It was a perfect fall day and I happen to have my gear with me. When I saw the way the afternoon sun made the treeline glow I had to turn around and grab some shots.

Great picture, Antonio. I cannot imagine how you managed to sharply merge the 8 images given the fact that all those people must have moved around quite a bit in the time it took you to capture the 8. I guess that is where the lady lost her head. Nevertheless there is not much evidence of movement blur at the edges of your images, at least as far as I can tell. Colin's comments are also interesting but his photo seems to be from a more distant viewpoint.

Thank you Rob for posting this image here.
In terms of composition and strictly under my point of view, I think you could have done a more pleasant image if the horizontal line where the trees meet the grass would be at 1/3 of the frame and if you had placed "something" in the foreground, like another tree or branch crossing partly the sky.
However, even under this perspective I think this image of yours I am posting here is more interesting. Even the difference is small.

Just for curiosity: your image I post is shot to the left of the first one and a few moments later. I think I can see the same cloud on both. And I can add that the feeling of a more pleasant image is coming from the fact that you used another crop. Perhaps the one Colin suggested ...
I saw you are working with LR. Perhaps you can get more lighness on the grass and trees ...

The best work goes to CS. It is responsible for such a result. I just had to make small adjustments between photos.
I also think that Colin shot his photo more distantly than I have. It is difficult to guess but I was probably at more or less 300/400 meters from the temple.
    Thank you for commenting Grant

    hi CinC,

Sorry for long inactivity. I've been so busy this past few week.
I was tinkering the PS today and I treated some past photos.

I had a feeling I overdid this one. Anyways, it was a good practice.
Got this photo when I was still in Japan. Hope to be back in December there.

    Enjoy.

    @antonio

    you're almost 2000 post....congrats

I do like the secondnimage better and thought that was the one I posted but realized my mistake after your reply. I am going to work the shadowed area of the grass and trees a bit more in LR. I couldn't do anything about it at that point in the day since the sun was already to low behind the treelike behind me. I will be giving that shot another go this weekend when I can be there earlier in the day and wait for just the right light.
