The general mood and ambiance created in the two images matches your usual style, which I like. I am not sure if the Sun was captured the way we see it here or if it was post processed but that is not important.
Neither this aspect nor the fact that - on the second one - the verticals are not perfect.
I think they are both a good work. Architectural photography with caracter

I have posted here this other shot of yours because I like it better.
I always like best landscapes with "something" in the foreground or at least "something" rather strong in visual terms and not only a bit like the second image you posted.
Perhaps you could have done a bracketing here to get the roof of the cave.
I think you are using a tripod aren't you ?
And Mark, thank you for posting here

Thank you Chris for posting here. It is a nice image. Innovative with the water flowing over the canvas.

Comox Valley Glacier in British Colombia, canada. I don't know how to make the ' snow' look better ? The whole thing seems a bit' pale' ! but when I tried to edit it, the snow gets too light or too dark ( shadows)...??

Yes I used a tripod for most of these shots.
I did do bracketing of all the shots but I'm a learner re HDR and as such have filed them under "must get to"!

About the first one: I like it in spite of the relative symmetry while in the second I find it too "empty" with perhaps a too large void in the middle. But however... it is what is interesting about it. Contradictory may be with the detail of the two birds on the top right. And this, finally ends for being the charme of the image: The duality of interpretations.
There are more interpretations obviously. Perhaps someone else has something to say about this in the audience.
    The other matter:

The sky is perfect in my monitor. And here, on the contrary of what I usually say, it doesn't bother me not having "something" on the foreground. The photo almost has 3 stripes: one for the trees, another for the mountains and yet another for the blue sky which is, so so clean that is impressive.

    upside down

    goodmorning to all,
here a picture... how it should be rotated? 90° clockwise or counterclockwise?
if I keep it horizontal, does it works?

    bye!

    Nicola

Is the 'correct' aspect a vertical one with the image rotated 90 degrees counter-clockwise? I think that is the way it should be. This flipping it onto its side creates too much confusion for the viewer (or for me at least). It it was a more abstract image, it may have worked to rotate it in this way. But because it is a realistic interpretation of a scene, I think it needs to remain as that.

Hi Donald, you are right, counter-clockwise.
I printed a similar picture with a person walking below the reddish boat (my girlfriend, the person you can barely see in the picture above) , and displayed vertically, of course....

I agree. And there is person at the bottom. The rotation is not a good option indeed Sorry Nicola
