Hi Ross,
Thats a beautiful scene. BUT I find it too saturated, especially in the foreground. & the waterfalls are kinda blown out. Did you go any closer to the falls & covered them individually?!

Nicola, this certainly does give a good feeling of one of those hot, misty days - very evocative of a summer spent on the sea, but for me, the yacht itself feels a little bit "constrained" by the way you have framed it, as it has no-where to go. Another interpretation would be something like this.....



......where there is a clear space in front of the yacht for it to sail into. Do you see what I mean?

thanks for suggestions! I understand what you mean, even if it makes me troubling a bit! I try to explain:
I've also an orizontal pic of this scene, with the boat on the right. however in the left side there is the earth, as the boat wasn't sailing but was anchored near the coast with total lack of wind.
finally, I took that picture on january the 2nd, that mean in the middle of the winter with about 6°C...


anyway, following your suggestions, I think a better view (where, at least, the rule of third is applied) could be the following:

Dear Shahil,
You are very wise. It is slight saturated, actually, and I have done that deliberately. You can see the settings on DPP (with raw image):
White balance adjustment: daylight
Picture style: Landscape
Contrast: 10
Hue: 7
Saturation: 146

Oh Yeah! I have been to the waterfall closely and taken them individually. Here are those images:

I shoot these in the neighborhood where I live, so no sea in miles have a cup of coffee atm, and im thinking and drinking my cup of coffee the style i created, I want to extend it further, and always try to shoot better pictures then the last one which is unfortunately not always so, but at least i try on my bike is not easy to find interesting locations near by in this weather can not wait for the spring, to try new techniques dont like long exposures of water, water starts to look like ice i like water to look like water, so no long exposure for me you were certainly not nice, but honest your comment really touched me, and will NOT post here anymore Of course I'm posting new pictures again soon

Both photos are OK. However I would rather the sand without foot marks. It is an interesting angle
The secnd is OK with the foreground and the background in focus. I know you can do better.

Hi Nicola,

I like the composition of both these, a few ideas to improve might be;
#1 looks slightly off level; a little clockwise rotation would fix.
#2 looks a little flat and may respond to Local Contrast Enhancement, a WB adjustment and a more attractive foreground interest.

However, not everyone may agree those ideas would improve them, I am but one person.

Update: oh dear; upon re-reading my words the next morning, this does look rather negative, I do hope you realise that there is far more 'right' about these than the few things I have mentioned. You're 80% there and picking up a few technical skills is easier than what you've already achieved.

Indeeed. And do you know where I am planning to go in March ? India for the 4.th time.
And yes, sometimes I spend too much time here. But I enjoy.
As you Nicola may understand I can+t edit all of your pictures but one or two once in a while.
And Nicola, post one at a time. It is better. It gives time to look and re-look before we say something.
