    Textures of Canberra

These are 2 shots I took on Friday afternoon in a 'posh' Canberra suburb while waiting for my lift.

The street you can see in #2 separates the two buildings. The building in #1 is associated with the church across the road and the other is a home. I couldn't help but give them a distressed, grungy look to nullify their gentrification.

    Any comments?

Great shots Raylee. I really like the texture in the first one. I would love to have seen that shopping cart in front of the mansion though.

    Imaginative stuff well executed.

I imagine (but correct me if I'm wrong) that you had the vision of the finished picture before you clicked the button. That, I always think, is a mark of the matured photographer.

Love the first one Raylee......not sure about the second. I like the red from the trolley but I think I'm looking for symbolism that may not be there? The first looks very "old world", even down to what the woman's wearing.
