Better late than never
Hello to all wherever you may be...
I actually joined back in November of 2010 but didn't provide much info at that time. I joined a local camera club in my area late in the summer of 2010. The club meets once a month on a Thursday night. I have night vision problems and only attended 3 meetings before it started getting dark so early I couldn't attend the meetings and was looking for a line of communication with other photographers.
I found the Cambridge site and initially used it for the excellent tutorials. I then started browsing the forums and was amazed at the level of communication exchanged by the members. Had a little problem getting started on the forums (showing my age) but must say that I received nothing but very positive help.
The community members on this site are outstanding and I can't tell you how much knowledge I have gained by the tutorials and also by browing through the forums.
My history with cameras started with an Olympus E-500 in 2006, upgraded to E-30 in 2010 and just recently with an E-5. Use a 14-540 2.8-3.5 II and a 70-300 4.0-5.6
I'll get off my horse now and wish each and every one of you much success in 2011. I again thank all of you who have been so helpful.

Re: Better late than never
Walt, you have a long history of fine Olympus cameras with you. Stick around and become active a little more so we can also learn from your work. Kind regards,

Jiro....thanks for your reply. You seem to be everywhere all the time! I am trying to put more time and effort into my photography and will certainly share as much as I can. By the way, "Spring comes and the grass grows by itself" is very thought provoking. Would you care to elaborate...

When there is no 'ego', life flows in it own accord. Hope this helps, Walt. Kind regards,
