What do you think about applying vignietting to a picture like this, where for example part of the subject's clothing is bright and the vignietting makes it look dirty and in an uneven manner.
I think in those cases if you absolutely have to do it, it should be done in a more subtle way just to make it look a little bit burned not too much.

Just look Alis where I started from.
And what I came up to after your suggestion.
You were right. :) At first glance I thought it was not going to work but I was wrong. It worked nicely and it is great. Thank you.
How could I avoid the Sun if it was always there ? I had to shoot when I had the chance to.
There is however, some small problem or in-corrections on the photo. As for example an halo around his head caused by a not perfect mask. My fault. :(

Why don't you desaturate a bit the colors in the background ?
Just a tip to give you something to do :D:D:D
I like the Sun color.

You absolutely did a great job, as always.
About vignietting, it may defeat the purpose, but may be you can do it on a separate layer and reveal it only on top corners and not in the bottom at all.

Thanks, Antonio!
Good suggestion. I am doing a photobook for her parents and will remember to do that for the book.

Ashwin nemaste :)
What do you think about my latest shots ?
How would you improve them if that is ever possible :D:D:D
Are you working with LR or just CS ?
Shucrea :)
About this one:
Yes I know that a flash - bounced - would be great. But we can't have everything in life can we ? :)
I do like very much this image of mines. It's one of those I say to myself I did a great work.
This time I say it was a great shot and sometimes I fail completely.
I am not being very humble am I ? :)

Hi António Correia
Namaste.... why so many images are missing from their places....NOW IMAGES ARE IN THEIR PLACES
I do most of the work in PS., although some of the features of LR are wonderful., but now same are also available in new PS version. Although I am retired person, I keep myself busy most of the time.,
and to keep myself fit., I daily walk about 10 Kms.. whatever little time is left I am spending here in this forum
It appears you have RE-visited INDIA by your pictures .,

Thank you Ricko for posting in this thread. :)
Indeed your image has a very interesting "look" .
She looks pretty sweet ... :)
However, may be it looks a bit yellowish. Just a tad. Well at least in my monitor.:o
I like the almost frame of her red band - I don't know the English for that, sorry - around her head and falling down on her shoulder.
May be you could try to balance the light cooler and brighten her eyes a bit, for us to see it' color. The background is matching the general tone of her face and hair, what I consider to be a good point.
As second thought maybe - just maybe - if you twist the image a bit clockwise ... :)
