Alis, I am impressed with the shallow DOF. At which aperture did you shoot ?
Is the table already repaired ?
Hi Antonio,
I really like this; pose and composition are excellent and she looks very comfortable.
The only thing that troubles me slightly is why the light on the right hand side is a different (cooler) colour temperature from the hair light on the left.
Best regards,
Thank you for for commenting Dave.
That spot at the top right also bothers me but I couldn't / can't help it.
It is in the original photo and it really is the Sun coming from our right.
Maybe if I was an expert in CS, I could clone that area somehow.
Anyway I am making improvements on this matter.
The orange area of her hair on our left is natural.
It was late evening and the Sun was low.
I have done some healing on her skin as well as some blur and a slight, very slight tone of orange/red all over her face.
I have also done a little - very little, a trifle - Liquify to make her face not so large and improve the overall shape of the face.
I also like this image. The crop 3/5 usually used on landscapes goes very well here.
This is not a SCP at all.

I was looking at the other pictures as I remembered that I forgot to tell you: this shot was done with the old 20D with the 1.4 converter and the 70-200 f/2.8 L IS USM - 1/80 f/4.0 @ 200mm
I did it. It was easy. How is it ?

Maya is now a very grown up young girl.
Nice picture Peter.
The photo is sharp and well cropped in spite of the background... is that a cat at the right far side ?
Thanks Antonio,
Its actually the back rest of our settee with a cushion hiding the rest. Unfortunately there is little room for manouvre when you have a small space and several children and adults to avoid. I deliberately slightly overexposed the background and used fill flash to make Maya stand out.
