Would you be so kind - very exquisite English isn't it ?, but it is the way I learned at school some 500 years ago- to re-post with a little unsharp mask, please ?
Nice picture, nice model, nice crop, nice composition.
Make it better please.

Nice Jack. Keep shooting. :)
Try to get a better focus and a better light.
The light from our left a rather harsh while the one from the right is too yellow...
:)
One for the week-end...:)
Sweet dreams.
How is the contrast?

I like it. Pretty good.
Bounced flash ? :)
I post one I shot today. May be it is a little "washed out" ... I don't know... Colin, Alis ??!... IYP

I think it is great, although not as creamy and warm as your usual pictures, however, I do not consider myself qualified enough to comment on your pictures, YET :p
And about mine, the light was from Gary Fong diffuser and also a window beind me.
And here is what I shot today: Tin (Brass?) Lady:

Next attempt. Maybe alittle too warm?

Hi Jack,
Can you do me a favour? Shoot a test shot with the subject holding a white piece of paper, and then another without the paper ...
... I'd like to see if I can get your skin tones looking better - these look to be quite a way off.
Also, the above needs a little sharpening :)
Yes, I'll definitly do that.
That's sharper

Hi Jack,
The sharpening definately looks better, but to be honest, the skin-tones in all your shots often appear to be somewhere between a "little off" and "off by a lot" - I think (as I'm not 100% sure of exactly how they should look). The last one for example looks a touch too red to my eyes.
Are you shooting RAW or JPEG? What RAW converter are you using? What picture styles are set?
Just me in action ...
In fact, I am photographing the group and the photo was done by somebody else with my camera and the 70-200 :):)
RThe set up is complete now.

well since its 2.36 am local and i cant sleep thought id see what everyone thought of one of my few portraits. im not very experienced shooting people.
this was during my recent vacation to Moab, Utah with my girlfriend. i had my d70s with a 70-300 f4.5-5.6 vr on a tripod waiting for humming birds. she was watching with me and her gaze caught my attention. so i swung around and click.
infos: shot at 195mm, 292 equiv, f5.3, no flash.
btw, ima dope when it comes to linking images and embeding them in this forum....

What struck me when I took this picture was the texture of the wall with the tangent light.
Unfortunately I could not overcome the harsh light on the boy. Of course. :(
I had no assistant neither to hold a shade nor it was available.:)
This is one of those photos I am not glad with and I wouldn't show it but to demonstrate as we all know, that what we shoot are not all good pictures. Sometimes the photos are like this one which I was not able to save in spite of my efforts. Plain and simple rubbish.
This was done with TV light :)

A bit oversharpened .
Nice Alis :)
Mine here was shot on the shadow of course, outside with flash for fill in using ETT.
The colors have been enhanced but not on the face and hands.
Most people used to dress like this before the 25 th April 1974

The expression on the lady's face is very natural. Great picture :)
Here is another one done last week, under a mix of shade and light from the above canopy right at around noon time:

Very tender and very nice.
The shadows are filled and it is a very nice picture indeed.
The lady was - really - sewing ! I told her: Concentrate! Do the work. Do it ! :)
The photo I post here was staged. They were waiting for me to shoot. With flash. I have no time now but I will tell you something about this pictures later. :)
Just look how harsh the light was. I overcame the problem shooting against the Sun with flash.
