    Great work as usual.

What can I say but "Thank you for posting here - over and over - Ali ?

Isn't the third one a bit Oof ?

Thanks! And the third one is out of focus. I did not notice it before!

I loved the way the lamplight was falling on him. He looked so cozy and comfortable and, maybe, I'm confusing the sweetness of the moment with a good photo? Is the light alright, here?

Excellent image Katy Very nice. With lots of "meaning". A photo with a message.

The only thing I would do, would be a different crop as I think the one you have used is rather too tall and shows to much of his arms without any special interest.
I cropped the image and rotated it a bit.
I think you were standing on his bed shooting from above, taking advantage of the light from the lamp. Sometimes - not to say, often - new and creative angles are rewarding.

He is a nice young fellow

I took some pictures at a Father Daughter dance as a courtesy. I lost some detail but I really like this picture.

I guess it would be a candid as he wasn't posing but I caught this look of adoration on his face as she hopped up on his lap grinning.

I like it but I don't know if I like the extra space on the right. (personally). I think a tighter crop would look better (to me).

Thanks Mario... if i cut off the space on the right then it would be square and this is a non-square thread :P hehehehe.

I feel the negative space is fine. But her expressions are not good enough for her website. Her eyes look tired. It appears as if she was forced to sit/stand in front of the camera. I hope you don't take me wrong...

I have cropped your photo and I made a small adjustment. It has lost quality indeed.
Her completion is not very flattering any more but I couldn't do better using this image as original.
However, the lighting is just fine and perhaps you could use some kind of reflection on her hair. Have a look at the teaching lessons here by Colin. They are pretty useful.
I am not very found of studio portraits in fact.
    I love canvas
Thank you for posting here Mario.

I think I like the wider crop myself - except for the background color. I know this is entirely a matter of personal taste. I guess since I have so many bland colored walls in my house that I am tired of looking at them in photos. You could easily change the color via lighting and/or a blanket/curtain etc.

Yeah she was pretty tired when she arrived at my house. It was the only schedule that we can agree with.
I still have to get rid of her eye-bugs before i give her the final image.

    *doh* yes I forgot. Sorry.

And I didn't mean a tight crop. I'm terrible explaining myself. I meant something like this, more square (thus disqualifying it):

But I see what everyone else is saying too when I compare. Nevermind me, I'm still reading about space and composition.

Told her to take a rest then re-shoot so here's the updated portrait.

But she told me, she didn't have time to rest so I use Photoshop to make her look like she did.
