Nice picture Ashwin...
Maybe the flash too harsh ?
Agreed, EXIF says; Canon EOS 5D Mark II, EF70-200mm f/2.8L IS USM at 200mm, f/3.2, 1/200, iso 500
It's a nice shot with a lovely expression on your son's face, but it looks a little to grey (and possibly cool CT-wise) to me.
Looking on a histogram, I don't think there's anything in the jpg above 240, in fact you can drag the white point down to 210 before it begins to look too bright.
Setting WB on the whites of his eyes warms it just a little.
Any better?
I made two versions of the Indian bride.
I think that she should be looking at us or we should be able to see her beautiful brown - I suppose - dark eyes anyway.
The picture looks too flat for me. Sorry Ashwin.
It has not a central point, a point where we are attracted to, magnetized so to say.
That's was I tried. In one picture the crop is not very tight. It is the one I made to begin with. Then I made the other one better cropped yet for my taste.
Objection: We can't see the dress as a main piece of the portrait.
I say: yes, but neither in the original we can see it. In spite of seeing more than in my version. Agree.
Maybe you have - of course you - more images of this bride. She looks here like smiling somehow forced.
You said: smile. And she did.
No, she should be smiling because she was feeling it not at your command.
Ashwin, I have been particularly harsh today. I am sorry. But if I don't say what I think would you ever be in this thread ?
My wife likes brides and all this stuff/scenes very much. Once we were in ... Cambodia visiting a temple and she was galvanized by the scene. I was not then photography maniac as today and I don't have any pics from the moment.
I would like very very very (3 times) much to shoot pictures in a wedding in India, yes I would.
I used CS4 and LR and I like best the second image.
Ashwin
I can see what Antonio meansTo me the face looks very slightly out of focus. The veil is protruding in front of the face so the focus points may have hit the veil? It could just be the upload though. It's a very attractive shot though, with plenty of interest and colour. Wedding shots are always difficult, no matter which country it is in.It has not a central point, a point where we are attracted to, magnetized so to say.
Rob, that is also a good work on Ashwin's image.
Thank you Rob and Antonio for your valued suggestion critic and effort to improve the Image....
encouraged by you all, I will rework on the Image and will post it tomorrow
For your information this picture was captured with two Decorative lights only, probably insufficient light shadow of these two lights are visible on the face of the bride..
