Nice shot! I think it makes a great B&W. Specially if you clone out the yogurt container

The dog was fine until I raised the Canon up to shoot - then he went crazy...

Rob, your B&Ws are always so sharp and contrasty and nice! May be you should start a Tutorial on B&W conversion, like the one Colin did for portraits. No pressure though

I have learned that with the flash with card out inside the tupperware, the result is even better. Of course for people like me who do not have Colin's 15,000 grand Elinchorm lighting equipment! Here is another one taken with the GF thing from a very close distance:

Sorry my friend but that is something added to the picture which is important for an understanding what is going on there.
However, I agree with see regarding the possibility of a black and white from it.

    Agree, agree

BTW, talking of B&W have a look at this here please shot in Mount Bromo, Java.
Deliberately not neither sharp nor contrasty, but nice. Very.
The guy is interacting with me, kind of astonished when I called him, covered by a blanket as it was rather cold and humid. Noise added with LR.
This image belong to a project of B&W portraits which would be - I mean I plant to - exhibit some day in the future.

Look how cute he is the little British
    Thank you Peter for posting
Two remarks at once: 1. the background too distracting with reds and 2. Shadows on his face too dense.
So, I would suggest you to change the crop and then clone the distracting areas in the background. Then play with curves or in LR Fill Light to recover the shadowed areas of his face.

I think this image illustrates the work I have done on the left side of his face, our right one. I did not use flash and we were at the entrance of the train.
In my back I had the Sun of the early morning shinning brightly as well as on my left side.
He was passing by when I asked for a picture.

That's because I get a professional photographer to shoot them for me! (only kidding)

A tutorial? OK, I'll think about that over the next few days - sounds a good idea.

This one is really good, Antonio! Looks like the guy's hand is pushed out of the picture frame.

And both of the black and whites are good. What is with the noise? Is it intentional?

The other guy looks like someone just out of a concentration camp. Where is he from?

I really think this is a portrait without soul or impact. The expression of the guy is perfectly "normal" and this doesn't give us space for interpretation, doubts or questions.
Thank you for your comment Ali I would say that is not one of my good portraits.

This is something better Still, not the best. So far.

All the commented shots were done in Indonesia, Java Island.
The noise is intentional to give some impact to the images.
He is not from a concentration camp Ali. If he was from one of those I think he would be far worst than he is. Perhaps I have got his expression and feeling at the moment.
We were in Mount Bromo early morning with some cold and lots of fog where we were supposed to see the Sun rise but that morning he didn't show up

Thanks, Antonio! Yes, flash was used (and I think I did well in this one) but no GF. Just 580EXII with the white card extended!
