    ACCEPTING ENTRIES: Mini Competition #223

    This is an open-themed competition that is open to all CiC members.

    ENTERING. Add your image in a new post below. Make sure to change your post title to a name for your picture (click the "Go Advanced" button). We request that there be just one entry per person. For help posting images, go here.

    VOTING. When this competition reaches 10 entries, a poll will be automatically added and any member may then vote. After 3 days, voting ends and the winner is determined.

    Once voting begins, a new competition will be automatically started.

    Note: Please do not request feedback, or make comments on other images, until after voting has closed as it could be unfair to other entrants.

    If the bot that manages the comps knows when there are 10 entries, why can't it also close the thread? Or would that prevent people voting?

    Does that mean I have to delete it and repost in mini comp 224 or can I just move it some how? If I have to delete it and repost it will take a while because that image is on my laptop which is at work.

    It could close the thread when voting starts, then re-open it once voting has finished. That shouldn't prevent voting -- just posting. However, the bot runs once every 10 minutes so it won't prevent 11th entries that are added before the poll closes. Also, sometimes people add non-comment posts during voting if they have problems with how their entry appears in the poll.

    Alternatively, I could always just permit the bot to create a poll with more than 10 images, but only if the 11th+ images were added in the 10 minute timeframe between when the 10th was added and the poll is added. How does that sound?

    Er... so what would happen to the 11+ images? Would people just have to add them to the next comp manually, as they do now?
